October to April is trekking season in Torres del Paine. December to February is peak — the warmest weather and longest days, but the biggest crowds and highest prices. November and March are the sweet spot: good conditions, fewer people, and easier refugio bookings. Outside that window, most trails and refugios close.

March is one of the best months for photography in Patagonia. Autumn brings longer golden hours, softer light, richer colors, and crisp air that makes every sunrise and sunset even more spectacular. The season also paints the landscapes with vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows, while the generally calmer winds create ideal conditions for capturing the region at its best.
November and late March/April: lower demand means easier bookings and better value, with the trade-off of cooler, more variable weather.
November and March, hands down. January–February are spectacular but busy; you'll share the famous viewpoints.
Patagonia is unpredictable in every month. Expect wind of 40–80 km/h, plus rain, sun and even snow in a single day. Bring real layers and waterproofs regardless of when you go.
